Division lesson plans for the year in one hour
Teaching division isn’t easy. It requires practice from the students and patience from the teacher. There are always students who don’t get it the first time so you need more examples. Maybe students are limited in English so you need some explanations in Spanish. We’ve got you covered with several hours of games below — two of which are free — six videos, 4 PowerPoint presentations of worked examples and one ready-made complete lesson plan.
Games that Teach Division
Making Camp Lakota — Practice division skills. They’ll also be introduced to Lakota history and culture. Earn points by solving math problems and answering social studies questions in the village-building simulation game as you earn items to customize your tipi. Runs on Android, Chromebook, iPad, Mac or Windows computers.
Making Camp Series: All of these games teach multiplication and division. Making Camp Ojibwe is our free version. Making Camp Bilingual includes the same content as Making Camp Ojibwe but allows you to switch between Spanish and English. Spirit Lake: The Game — Players learn how to solve multiplication, division and geometry through word problems set in the context of a stories based on the history and culture of the Dakota people. Runs on Mac and Windows computers.
